Wisdom is an illusive thing. It seems the more we try to gain wisdom, the more we lack. Sometimes wisdom can sneak up and tap us on the shoulder and we'll actually do or say something wise. But where's the consistency? Soon we realize wisdom isn't something we do or say. It's who we are. We grow in wisdom by spending time with the One who IS the Wisdom of God--our Lord Jesus, His Spirit, word and body (I Cor 1:24, 30). As we surrender our will to the Lord, His presence transforms us. We absorb His character. More and more we reflect His wisdom into our daily lives by His power flowing through us. Let's join the journey of pursuing wisdom, leaving its legacy for future generations.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

- James 3:17, NKJV
