Finding that Secret Place with the Lord… In the Moment
In that secret place
In the Presence of the Lord
The circle of Trinity fellowship
Where thanksgiving, scripture, praise and prayer
…….Climax
And give way to Christ’s heart
His touch
His perspective
Where worries melt away
Where nothing in this world holds sway
…….No fear
…….No shame
…….No lust
…….No games
Everything exposed
…….Laid bare
Everything surrendered to Jesus
Everything covered
…….Forgiven
…….Cleansed
…….Healed
…….Loved
Questions and doubts give way
To complete trust
No matter the circumstances
In the Father’s presence
In that secret place
In the fullness of His Face
…….I believe
…….I hope
…….I trust
…….I rejoice
That His purposes are good
Affirmed
Full of joy and beauty
True love
The Gates of Hell will not prevail
Against the bride
Against my life in Christ
But why—
As I move about my daily affairs
When difficulties arise—
…….Things unfair
…….Things unexpected
…….Things foolish
…….Things that destroy and maim
Why does doubt arise?
Why does fear guile my soul?
Pull me into stress?
…….Frustration?
…….Irritation?
Dear Father,
I don’t want to dwell in that place of fret
I want to dwell in Your faith, hope and love
In the moment of stress
Arise, O soul!
Return to Him in the moment!
Throw yourself back into His arms!
…….In the moment
Pour out your heart to Jesus
Who daily breathes life into your spirit
If you give devotion
Surrender again to His Presence
The place of trustworthy answers
Where clarity evolves
Where the Spirit’s standard rises against the enemy
…….Turning mourning into dancing
…….Condemnation into forgiveness
…….Fear into trust
…….Shame into affirmation
…….Lust into wisdom
Only, only in the Presence of Creator
All Sufficient One
Where thanksgiving, scripture, praise and prayer
…….Climax
And give way to the Shepherd King
Lord, let me live in that place!
“… he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
for he observes himself, goes away,
and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it,
and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work,
this one will be blessed in what he does.”
– James 1:23-24
